Perfect Faith for Imperfect People = Christianity. I can’t stress enough that people like myself who believe in and choose to follow Christ are far from perfect. I know this concept is very baffling to non-believers. I’m not the best person to explain this but here goes. Believing in Christ is a choice. Whether you choose to believe in Him or not doesn’t change the fact that He died for for all of us, equally and with unconditional love. Sometimes, many times, I am overwhelmed that “someone”, okay God Himself in the flesh, would take the blame for something I did and still do. Believing in Christ provides the necessary understanding to the general condition of humankind, which hasn’t changed since He walked the earth. No matter how technologically advanced we are, our human souls have not changed. People still lie, steal and kill. It’s a choice. People who believe in Christ have to think for themselves and make choices each and every day. Believers fall prey to making the wrong choices just as much as non-believers. Prayer from the heart is so comforting and provides the means to keep a close relationship with Jesus. Community in faith or going to church is also a part of believing. Tithing and giving to the community and other children of God is essential and a fulfilling part of being a believer. When times are tough, believers must be faithful even though it’s the most difficult and yet the best time to show your faithfulness as He carries you through the storm. There is a plan for all of us. I don’t want to know my plan all at once or see into the future. I’d rather trust in Jesus Christ, wait and get it one day at a time. I also choose to believe and risk finding out there isn’t a Christ then to not believe and find out there is.
